Paul's Frame & Art Gallery

In June 2019, Paul’s Frame and Art Gallery in Peterborough hosted From Dark to Discovery, a solo exhibition by Lynda Todd, a local artist known for her innovative use of acrylic pouring techniques. Despite being legally blind and partially color-blind, Todd has developed a distinctive style that incorporates vivid colors and textured layers, creating a tactile and visually engaging experience. The exhibit showcased a series of larger-scale works that marked a significant evolution in her artistic practice.
The From Dark to Discovery exhibit was well-received by the community, with an opening reception that took place on June 8, 2019, allowing visitors to meet the artist in person. Todd’s works, rich in both texture and emotion, reflect her journey of self-discovery through art, transcending the limitations of her visual impairments. The exhibit remained on display until the end of June, and Todd’s ability to communicate her visual world through her unique method of paint pouring left a lasting impression on all who attended
