I’m grateful to have received funding from the Ontario Arts Council and the Province of Ontario to support my on-going series Migration: Land, Air & Sea. This grant, awarded in 2025 helped bring the project to life and strengthened my commitment to accessible, inclusive art.
My sincere thanks to the Electric City Culture Council for their continued support. Additional funding through the Individual Artists Grant made it possible to complete this work with accessibility at its core.

Thanks to the generous support of the Ontario Arts Council and the Province of Ontario, Lynda’s work continues to spark conversation, celebrate inclusivity and inspire us to protect the species with whom we share our planet.

As well, Electric City Culture Council awarded a grant to help with supplies for Migration #3 with the Grants for Individual Artists.

🎨 To my mentors and supporters
To Valerie Kent for your mentorship and expertise. You have always been encouraging and introduced me to a whole new world I never thought possible.
Your guidance, encouragement and belief in me have been invaluable. A special thank you.
🖌️ To my amazing studio assistant, Max
Your help mixing paints, organizing the workspace, and ensuring everything runs smoothly has made this process so much more manageable.
💙 To my husband, Brian
From building custom wood-cradled panels that elevated my art to new levels, to wiring, packing and always finding that “one more thing” I need to finish a piece, you make my creative ideas possible. Your dedication, problem-solving skills and unwavering support mean the world to me.
👩🎨 To my daughter, Joey
Always there when I need a second opinion on colours or making a perfect colour match.
We respectfully acknowledge that we are gathered on the traditional and treaty territories of the Williams Treaties First Nations, which include the Anishinaabeg peoples of Hiawatha, Curve Lake, Alderville, Beausoleil, Georgina Island, Rama and the Mississaugas of Scugog Island.
For thousands of years, the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg have lived in reciprocity with these lands, guided by traditional knowledge, ceremony and responsibility. These Nations continue to uphold their responsibilities as stewards of the lands, waters and caretakers of knowledge.
We acknowledge the lasting impact of those treaties, including the injustices they entailed and the continued strength, resilience, and resurgence of Indigenous communities today. As we live, work and gather here, we are called to reflect and act on our responsibilities in the spirit of reconciliation, respect and partnership.

Please join me at the Artist Reception on Saturday, March 7, 1 - 4 p.m. at the ECCO art Gallery, 46 Queen St., Lakefield.
